Lagos Student Loses Teeth After Assault By Principal, Teacher

The principal and a teacher of Okota Junior Grammar School have been accused of assaulting a 15-year-old student, leading to the loss of three of his teeth.
The Lagos State Police Command in a statement on Tuesday disclosed that the duo has been arrested after the victim’s mother reported the incident at the Isolo Police Division around 11 a.m. on March 11, 2025.
According to the police, the suspects, identified as Kayode Abolarin and Atueyin Martins, have been taken into custody.
The spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, while confirming the arrests, stated that investigations were ongoing.
“Upon receiving the report, the police promptly arrested the suspects. They are currently assisting the police in its investigations into the incident which took place on the school premises,” he said.
He promised that due process would be followed in handling the case and justice will prevail.
“The Lagos State Police Command assures Lagosians that justice will be served, as the suspects will be arraigned in court accordingly at the conclusion of investigations,” he said.
He added that the command remains committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone and will continue to address criminal and security matters with the utmost urgency and professionalism.
