Lagos: Kehinde Almaroof-Oloyede wins Oshodi-Isolo LG election
The Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof-Oloyede, has been declared the winner of the 2025 Lagos Local Government Election held on Saturday, July 12.
The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission, LASIEC, Returning Officer for the council, Mr Joseph Olorode, announced the results on Sunday, confirming that Otunba Almaroof-Oloyede, who contested under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, polled 64,300 votes to secure victory.
His closest rival, Ridwan Akinbiyi of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, garnered 3,247 votes, while the Young Progressive Party, YPP, candidate polled 156 votes.
With this declaration, Otunba Almaroof-Oloyede has been returned elected and will continue in office for another term, following a landslide win.
