Kwankwasiya presidential committee meets Gombe stakeholders

The Presidential Contact and Mobilization Committee of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has declared the party in Gombe State free of any internal crisis or factionalization.

This declaration follows a successful meeting with all party stakeholders in the state.

The Chairman of the Committee, Alhaji Nuhu Bello, was represented by Ghali Sule, the Director General of the Kano State Drugs and Medical Consumable Supply Agency.

Sule announced that after an extensive dialogue, all conflicting issues within the party were resolved, leading to unity among members.

He stated that despite the NNPP’s struggles in the 2023 general elections and a significant factional crisis, which included the departure of the 2023 gubernatorial candidate, Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki, peace has since been restored.

Sule noted that Mailantarki’s exit paved the way for harmony within the party, allowing the NNPP and the Kwankwasiyya movement to work together cohesively.

The committee chairman explained that the NNPP’s national leadership, under Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, had established presidential committees across all 36 states and Abuja to assess the party’s status post-election.

He said committees were not only focused on Kwankwaso’s potential presidential ambitions for 2027 but also on all other elective positions.

Rambi Ibrahim Ayala, the NNPP Chairman in Gombe State, echoed Sule’s sentiments, acknowledging the challenges the party faced but expressing optimism for the future.

Ayala pointed out the ongoing efforts to rebrand the party, stating its commitment to education and patriotism.

He said the party logo has been updated to feature a book and pen, symbolizing education as a means of emancipation.

Ayala also expressed confidence in the party’s resilience and its ability to attract new members, with the ultimate goal of taking over Gombe State and Nigeria as a whole.

The committee’s visit included a presentation of the party’s structure in Gombe State, from the ward level to the state level.

Key stakeholders, including the new party leader, Hon. Ismaila Mohammed Sa’in Dukku and other candidates from the last election, contributed to discussions on the party’s future success.

The committee also inaugurated a new party office in Kwami LGA donated by Hon. Adamu Mohammed.
