Kebbi govt approves N1.14bn for gratuity, death benefits of 445 contract workers

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has approved the release of N1.14 billion for the payment of gratuities and death benefits to 445 contract staff.

The Director in the Office of the Head of Service, Rashidu Muhammad-Bala, disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday.

According to him, the total sum of N1,144,428,745.74 will cover entitlements of workers who either retired or died while in service.

He noted that the move was aimed at clearing outstanding benefits owed to the affected workers.
