Kebbi: APC reinstates Sani-Giant months after bringing snake to govt house
The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kebbi State has lifted the suspension of Alhaji Kabir Sani-Giant, reinstating him as Special Adviser to Governor Nasir Idris on Power and Politics.
Sani-Giant was earlier suspended on February 28, 2025, after an incident in which he allegedly brought a snake into the Government House in an attempt to intimidate politicians and dignitaries.
The incident, which occurred on February 8, drew widespread criticism.
Announcing his reinstatement in a statement on Monday, the APC state chairman, Alhaji Muhammad Kana-Zuru, said the decision followed a review by the State Working Committee, SWC, at its meeting held last Tuesday.
Kana-Zuru explained that the party reviewed a written apology from Sani-Giant and resolved to withdraw the suspension, restoring his full party membership and responsibilities.
“Following the deliberations of the committee and in view of your appeal and expressed remorse, the party has resolved to lift your suspension,” the statement read. “You are hereby directed to resume your duties and your rights and privileges are fully restored.”
