Kano schools to begin third term break July 25

The Kano State Government has announced that all public and private primary and secondary schools, both day and boarding, will begin their third term vacation on Friday, July 25, 2025.

This was made known in a statement by Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru, the Director of Public Enlightenment at the Kano State Ministry of Education.

The statement urged parents and guardians of boarding students to take their children home early on the day the holiday begins.

According to the Ministry, students in boarding schools are expected to return on Sunday, September 7, 2025, while day students are to resume on Monday, September 8, 2025.

The Commissioner for Education, Dr. Ali Haruna Makoda, urged parents and guardians to fully comply with the resumption dates. He warned that students who resume late risk facing disciplinary actions.

Dr. Makoda also thanked parents and the people of Kano State for their continued support and cooperation with the ministry, and wished all pupils and students a safe and peaceful holiday.
