Kaduna Groups Declare Support For Sani, Warn El-Rufai Against Attacks

A coalition of over 2000 support groups in Kaduna State has declared their unwavering support for Governor Uba Sani, while also issuing a warning to former Governor Nasir El-Rufai to desist from distracting the current administration in the state.
THE WHISTLER reports that former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, had launched a scathing attack on his successor, Uba Sani, accusing him of sycophancy and pandering to President Bola Tinubu for personal gain.
El-Rufai’s criticism followed Sani’s remarks during a TVC News interview on Monday, where the governor expressed surprise at the growing criticism of Tinubu’s administration from some founding members of the All Progressives Congress.
Reacting via his verified X (formerly Twitter) handle on Tuesday, El-Rufai alleged that Sani’s unwavering support for Tinubu was linked to over N150bn in federal reimbursements received by Kaduna State in the past 18 months.
However, the groups, which comprised various support groups spread across the state, paid a solidarity visit to the governor in Kaduna on Thursday, expressing their commitment to his administration’s policies and programs.
Kalamu Waheed, Youth leader of the Coalition of APC support groups, who represented the chairman, praised Governor Uba Sani’s achievements in office, saying, “Everyone has seen the unprecedented progress Gov Uba Sani is making in restoring peace to Kaduna State. He has revamped agriculture, education, and healthcare delivery in this state. His urban and rural communities’ developmental effort is second to none.”
Waheed warned that anyone attempting to distract the governor would be considered “enemy number one” in Kaduna State.
He specifically advised El-Rufai and his associates to enjoy their retirement from politics quietly.
“We will definitely not fold our arms and watch a disgruntled Mallam Nasir El-Rufai trying to rock the boat in Kaduna State,”
“If they refuse and continue with their evil plots, we shall take them on squarely,” Waheed warned.
The Special Assistant to the governor on Support Groups, Hon Abdulsamad Chima Amadi, received the group on behalf of Governor Uba Sani and thanked them for their support.
“We appreciate your solidarity and support for Governor Uba Sani’s administration,”I assure you that the governor will continue to carry along the support and other interest groups in his government,” Amadi said.
This development is seen as a significant show of support for Governor Uba Sani, who has been working to restore peace and develop the state since assuming office.
