Kaduna bye-election: APC wins two House of Assembly seats in Kaduna

Following the bye-election held on Saturday for the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Zaria Kewaye and Basawa constituencies, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has emerged victorious.

Announcing the results of the Zaria Kewaye Constituency on Sunday morning, the returning officer, Prof. Balarabe Abdullahi,,said that the APC candidate, Isa Haruna Ihamo got 26,613 votes.

Abdullahi further explained that the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate, Nuhu Sada Abdullahi polled 5,721 votes, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Mamuda Abdullahi Wappa got 5,331 votes.

Similarly, he said in the final result of Basawa State Constituency bye-election, APC got 10,926 votes, while PDP got 5,499 votes.
