He made the warning while addressing some of the beneficiaries at flag
-off of the distribution of agricultural inputs of the phase five of the program held at Dutse JASCO store.

He said under the fifth implementation, a total of 4340 farmers benefited with the agricultural inputs including three fertiliser, agro chemicals and herbicide.

According to him, “The total of 4,340 farmers were divided into four different food production including; Rice, 640, Maize 640, Millet 1660 and Sorghum 1400 farmers.

“Each of the beneficiary was given three bags of fertiliser (two NPK, one UREA), agro-chemical and herbicide.”

“This support is a grant not loan so we are expecting you to use it judiciously to enhance food production”

“We will be closely monitoring the use of these inputs, and anyone found selling or diverting them will face serious consequences,” Inuwa warned.

He said the project is under Nigeria COVID-19 Action Recovery And Economic Stimulus NG-CARES results area II, aimed to expand access to livelihood support and food security services, and grants for poor and vulnerable households and firms.
