JAMB Reactivates WAEC Result Upload For UTME Candidates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the upload of the 2025 West African Examinations Council (WAEC) results on its portal has been reactivated for Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) candidates.
JAMB, in a post on X on Wednesday, urged candidates to visit any of JAMB’s accredited facilities near them to access the service.
“Dear UTME candidates, this is to notify you that upload of the 2025 WAEC result has been reactivated. Kindly visit any of our accredited facilities near you to access the service. Thank you,” the post said.
Recall that WAEC initially reported a technical error that affected the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results.
Due to a technical error, JAMB had temporarily shut down the portal for the upload of the results.
“Kindly be aware that the temporary closure of the portal for the 2025 WASSCE result upload is to address the issue with those, who had previously uploaded the initially-released WASSCE result.
“Please be patient while our technical crew works on the portal. You will be contacted shortly to upload your result,” it had urged the candidates.
After correcting grading discrepancies in subjects like English Language due to a wrongly used serialised code file, the pass rate increased from 38.32% (754,545 candidates) to 62.9% (1,239,884 candidates) for credits in five subjects, including English and Maths.
WAEC had apologised for the technical issues and appreciated candidates’ understanding and support. Candidates can now recheck their results on the reopened WAEC portal.
