It’s over between Juventus and Paul Pogba —Cristiano Guintoli
Juventus Sporting Director Cristiano Guintoli has told those who care to listen that it is over between the Italian Serie A side and French midfielder Paul Pogba.
The club insists that Paul Pogba will not play for them anymore despite his recent words as he is not part of the plans for both financial and technical reasons.
Guintoli declared that Pogba who will play for the new club from 2025 has played his last game for Juventus as the club has moved on by investing in different players.
“Pogba was a great player but we have different plans now. We’ve invested in different players and our team is now complete”, Giuntoli said.
This comes days after the player informed that he is not thinking about a move away from Juventus while noting that he is willing to take a pay cut to remain at the club.
Pogba who spoke with the Italian media stated that what is in his mind now is to train and play for Juventus despite moves to terminate his contract.
The player further disclosed that he will need to do the talking on the pitch when he resumes full training so that Juventus coach Thiago Motta will make a judgment.
“I’m willing to take a salary cut to stay at Juventus”.
“I’m just thinking about training and playing for Juventus”.
“It’s not me that needs to speak, the pitch will do the talking and Thiago Motta will judge with his eyes”. Pogba told Gazzetta.
