Invest In Africa Summit To Unlock Real Estate Potential—Organisers

The organisers of Invest in Africa Summit 2025 have disclosed that its second edition will take place on March 15, 2025, in London, and on March 22 in Manchester.
The summit, the organisers said, is aimed at connecting global investors, policymakers, and real estate leaders to Africa’s rapidly growing property market.
The summit is organized by Nedcomoaks Group and Citadel Estates & Utilities (UK).
A statement sent to THE WHISTLER in Abuja on Sunday quoted Dr Kennedy Okonkwo, General Managing Director of Nedcomoaks Group and Chief Host of the summit, to have emphasized the summit’s role in positioning Africa as a prime destination for global real estate investments.
“The Invest in Africa Summit is not just another conference; it is a movement towards economic empowerment and wealth creation,” Okonkwo stated.
He continued: “Africa’s real estate sector is on an upward trajectory, and by connecting diaspora investors with opportunities back home, we are building legacies and reshaping the investment narrative.”
He explained that the first edition of the summit attracted over 450 delegates, and organizers anticipate an even larger turnout this year.
“Key topics for discussion will include sustainable housing, mortgage financing, and infrastructure development,” he said.
Okonkwo stated that a notable lineup of speakers, according to Okonkwo, is Hon. Fatai Moruf Akinderu, Lagos State Commissioner for Housing and Works; Hon. Dr Olajide Abiodun Babatunde, Special Adviser to the Governor on E-GIS and Urban Development; Ayo Olowokere, MD/CEO of Imperial Homes Mortgage Bank; Dr Chiedu Nweke, Chairman/CEO of Periwinkle Residences Limited; and Engineer Abidemi Amusa, MD/CEO of Carrillion Consultants Limited.
Also speaking, Mrs Ichechi Okonkwo, Group Deputy Managing Director of Nedcomoaks, highlighted the importance of international collaboration, noting, “Our partnership with Citadel Estates & Utilities reflects a shared commitment to unlocking Africa’s real estate potential.
She said, “The summit will showcase innovative financing options, exclusive projects, and strategies for long-term economic growth.
“With Africa’s urban population projected to double by 2050, the demand for housing and commercial properties continues to soar. The summit will provide investors with crucial insights into government policies, emerging property developments, and new investment opportunities in key African cities.
Experts predict that with the right financing structures and regulatory frameworks, the continent could attract billions in real estate investments.
Real estate developers and financial institutions are expected to unveil new projects aimed at addressing Africa’s housing deficits and supporting urban expansion.
“This summit is about transforming ideas into action. Investors and industry leaders are to participate in what promises to be a transformative event for Africa’s real estate market,” she said.
