Imo CP Warns Officers Against Interfering In Land Disputes

The Imo State Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma has issued a warning to officers of the Command to steer clear from land related issues in the state.

According to the Commands Spokesperson Henry Okoye on Sunday, the warning is in line with the directive of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun.

Okoye said the CP said that any officer found indulging in land related disputes will be dealt with according to the disciplinary measures of the Command.

He further advised petitioners to come up with facts as any attempt to mislead the command will be investigated and appropriate punishment given if found guilty.

He said: “In line with the IGP’s directive, the Commissioner of Police Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma has issued a stern warning to all personnel to steer clear of land-related civil disputes.

“Any officer found culpable will face firm disciplinary measures.

“Petitioners attempting to mislead the Police will also be investigated and prosecuted.”
