Nigerian singer, Augustine Okechukwu, well known as Tekno has debunked a viral video that claimed he suffered a seizure and collapsed during a live performance in South Africa.

A video clip allegedly captured the moment when a man fell off the stage after what seemed to be a severe seizure with many expressing worry for Tekno’s health.

Tekno while reacting to the video took to his Instagram on Tuesday to reassure fans of his well-being, and confirmed that he is healthy and not currently in South Africa.

He wrote, “Hey guys, I’m hale and hearty and not currently in South Africa. I hope whoever that was in the video is doing well and ok. Thank you guys. Love you.”

Before Tekno’s response, fellow artist, Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade popularly known as Mr. Eazi had dismissed the video, stating that the person in the footage was not Tekno but a Kenyan rapper identified as Prezzo.

Mr. Eazi noted that Tekno was not in South Africa when the incident reportedly took place but safe in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, at the time the video was recorded.
