In a groundbreaking development, the Ikwerre People’s Congress (IPC) Worldwide has congratulated two of its illustrious sons, Senator John Azuta Mbata and Livingstone Wechie, on their epoch-making elections as President-General of Ohanaeze Ndi-Igbo Worldwide and President of Ohanaeze Ndi-Igbo Worldwide, Rivers State chapter, respectively.

The group congratulated Senator Mbata on his successful election and inauguration as the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndi-Igbo Worldwide. The inauguration took place in Enugu on Friday, January 10, 2025.

In a statement signed by Engr. Stanley Worgu, Secretary-General of IPC Worldwide, the organization also congratulated Livingstone Wechie on his election and inauguration as the President of Ohanaeze Ndi-Igbo Worldwide, Rivers State chapter.

Senator Mbata, a proud Igbo son of Ikwerre extraction and a global leader, has been given the rare opportunity to lead over 80 million Ndi-Igbo worldwide.

The IPC Worldwide urged hinterland Igbo patriots to join their riverine Igbo patriots and compatriots in Rivers State to make this historic opportunity a huge success.

The organization also congratulated Livingstone Wechie, IPC Worldwide national chairman, on his election and inauguration. Wechie has distinguished himself in phenomenal ways, and the IPC Worldwide called for total support to ensure his success in leading over eight million Igbos in Rivers State to bring about massive development to the state.

The IPC Worldwide thanked Governor Siminalayi Fubara for his support in ensuring Senator Mbata’s successful emergence as President-General of Ohanaeze Ndi-Igbo Worldwide. The organization urged all Ikwerres to be conscious of the threats against their development by divisive forces and seize this opportunity to pursue their future dreams.

As the largest Igbo group, the Ikwerre leading Ndi-Igbo Worldwide is both historic and significant. The IPC Worldwide expressed pride in Senator Mbata and Wechie, acknowledging the unprecedented significance of this golden opportunity.
