Lazio midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru is keen to play for Nigeria at the FIFA World Cup, DAILY POST reports.

Dele-Bashiru was playing in the lower cadre of English Football few years later.

The 24-year-old was on the books of Sky Bet Championship club, Sheffield Wednesday for three years.

The Nigerian moved to Turkish Super Lig side Hataypsor in 2023 where he spent just one season before linking up with Lazio.

Dele-Bashiru played in the UEFA Europa League with Lazio last season.

He has however expressed his desire to play at the biggest stage- the FIFA World Cup.

“The World Cup, that’s the biggest stage for a footballer in your career, especially playing for your country,” he told reporters in Uyo.
