I never had ambition but vision to rule Nigeria -Tunde Bakare
The General Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church (CGCC), Pastor Tunde Bakare, says he never had an ambition but a vision to be President of Nigeria.
Bakare made this statement on Monday when he appeared as a guest on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television.
According to him, anyone doing God’s work in God’s way at God’s time will never lack God’s support, adding that what Nigeria lacks are the right people in the right place with the right plan for the right reasons.
“I never had an ambition, I had a vision of becoming Nigeria’s president. It has no age barrier, but I am not pursuing anything. Have you seen my posters out? Even in 2023 or so, when I did the primary, did you see me everywhere, on television, on this, on that? I am a gentleman. Whatever God wants to do, He will do when it is time.
“Influence is sometimes even stronger than power and greater than power. You can influence, give what you know will lead to progress of the nation, or will help the present government or whoever, whichever government, give it to them.
“The time will come when opportunity will present itself. You don’t have to run after power. You don’t have to pursue by force. You want to serve. You can serve,” Bakare said.
