Hardship: Tinubu aware his policies causing difficulties among Nigerians – Gov Sule

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has said that President Bola Tinubu was well aware that some of the policies he has undertaken are causing serious hardship in the country.

He, however, noted that the President had never at any occasion told anyone it was going to be easy, but insisted that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

DAILY POST reports that since taking over office from former President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023, Tinubu has taken tough decisions like the removal of subsidies on petroleum products and the floating of the naira among others.

His decisions have sent the prices of goods and services high and subjected citizens to hardship.

Appearing on Channels Television on Tuesday, the Nasarawa number one citizen said there is light at the end of the tunnel, assuring of better days ahead.

“At the end of the day, some of these reforms being taken by Mr President, he clearly mentioned to Nigerians that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

“As far as Mr President is concerned, he is very much aware of these reforms. Nobody said they were going to be easy, they are going to be difficult. This is the hardship we will go through but it is only temporary,” Sule said.

DAILY POST reports that the twin policies of fuel subsidy removal and Naira floating in June 2023 are behind the economic hardship Nigerians are facing.
