At least three people have been killed after gunmen suspected to be bandits ambushed motorists in Kwara State.

The attack occurred on Thursday along the Rore and Aranorin communities in Irepodun Local Government Area, leaving residents and travellers in shock.

Eyewitnesses revealed to journalists that the assailants, believed to be operating from nearby forests, opened fire on unsuspecting motorists in what appeared to be a coordinated assault.

As at the time of filing this report, it remains unclear whether the attackers also abducted any victims, as the Kwara state Police command had yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
