Armed men on Monday night abducted three motorists along the Okene–Kabba road in Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Security Sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred around 10 p.m. when the assailants blocked the highway with firewood, forcing vehicles to stop.

One of the victims’ relatives, Salihu Abdulmumuni of Usugwe Estate, told police that his father, Salihu Salaudeen, was among those taken.

Police operatives later discovered three abandoned vehicles, including a Dyna 200 with registration number LKJ 389 GYE, at the scene.

Preliminary investigation identified the kidnapped drivers as Salihu Salaudeen of Usugwe, Shaibu Mohammed of Okene, and Ibrahim Muritala of Lagos.

Three empty cartridge shells were also recovered, while the vehicles were moved to the police station for safekeeping.
