Grayscale Research Spotlights Sui as Top Contender Among Smart Contract Platforms

Grayscale Investments has announced a major shake-up in its leadership structure, signalling a renewed push into crypto investment markets. The firm revealed the changes today via an official press release and a Form 8-K filing with the SEC.

The Stamford-based asset manager, which oversees more than $35 billion in crypto investment products, appointed four new executives to bolster its operations. Diana Zhang will serve as Chief Operating Officer, Ramona Boston as Chief Marketing Officer, Andrea Williams as Chief Communications Officer, and Maxwell Rosenthal as Chief Human Resources Officer. All new hires will report directly to CEO Peter Mintzberg.

In a notable comeback, Grayscale founder Barry Silbert has returned as Chairman of the Board, replacing Mark Shifke, who will remain on as a board director. The company also noted its plans to add independent directors to enhance governance.

Grayscale’s new leadership team boasts extensive experience from major financial institutions. Zhang previously worked at Bridgewater Associates and BlockTower Capital. Boston led marketing at Apollo Global Management, Williams handled communications at Oaktree and Goldman Sachs, while Rosenthal oversaw HR operations at Citadel.

“Our leadership reflects a strong mix of institutional discipline and startup mindset,” said CEO Mintzberg. “These leaders will help guide Grayscale as we scale our product offerings and global footprint.”

Barry Silbert, who founded Grayscale in 2013, expressed his commitment to the company’s next chapter. “It’s an exciting time to return. Grayscale was built to bridge crypto and traditional finance, and that mission is more relevant than ever.”

Investor response was optimistic, with Grayscale’s flagship Bitcoin Trust ETF ($GBTC) rising 2.04% to $90.71, signalling renewed confidence in both the company and the broader crypto market.
