Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has urged elected officials and political appointees to design and implement programmes and initiatives that will help uplift the socio-economic status of the electorate.

The governor made the statement while speaking at the flag-off of the distribution of 120 new motorcycles to All Progressives Congress, APC, ward executives by Jigawa North West Senator Babangida Hussain, held in Kazaure.

Governor Malam Umar Namadi explained that the APC ward executives are the representatives of government in their respective domains, therefore, they deserve better recognition.

According to him, “through this kind of programmes and policies by elected officials and political appointees electorates will feel more recognise and will benefit from the dividend of democracy.”

On his part, the senator representing Jigawa North West senatorial district, Senator Babangida Hussaini Kazaure, said the donation is aimed at supporting and encouraging the party ward executives to enable them to carry out their duties effectively.

He said they played a key role in representing, protecting and promoting the party and government activities.

He urged the party members to continue to work for the victory of the party in the coming 2027 general elections.
