The Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, has flagged off the distribution of the annual Ramadan package to households in Goronyo Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
The gesture, according to him, is to complement the efforts of both the Federal and State Governments, especially during this holy month of Ramadan.
Speaking at the event, Goronyo assured the people of the unwavering commitment of President Bola Tinubu to improve the quality of lives of Nigerians through various policies and programmes under the Renowned Hope Agenda, which cuts across many sectors.
The items distributed include bags of parboiled rice, millet, maize, and cash gifts worth more than N150m.
The beneficiaries, including party stalwarts, religious leaders, and members of trade unions, as well as security agencies, cut across the entire eleven wards of the L.G.A.
Other beneficiaries were Women and Youth Groups, as well as social media groups, the elderly, and the needy in society.
The beneficiaries were full of praise and eternally thankful to the Minister for the life-saving intervention.
