Gombe United chief Abubakar appointed Flying Eagles coordinator
Gombe United General Manager, Malam Abubakar Abubakar (Yellow) has been appointed as the new Flying Eagles coordinator.
Abubakar’s appointment was announced by Gombe United on social media.
The Flying Eagles are currently preparing for the WAFU B U-20 Championship in Abuja.
The team defeated Water FC of Abuja 1-0 in their first training game but lost 1-0 to Marlintarki in the second game.
The WAFU Championship will decide the team that will represent the zone at the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
DAILY POST recalled that the Nigeria Football Federation recently appointed Aliyu Zubairu as the new head Coach of the team.
Abubakar and Zubairu previously worked together at Gombe United in 2023.
