Gerrard names 3 current best midfielders in the world

Liverpool legend, Steven Gerrard, has named three current best midfielders in the world.

The Englishman spoke during a quickfire round of questions with ESPN.

When asked to name his best three midfielders in the world at the moment, Gerrard selected Manchester City’s Rodri, Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister, and Paris Saint-Germain’s Vitinha.

The former Rangers and Aston Villa manager said: “Rodri, Mac Allister and Vitinha.”

Rodri won the 2024 Ballon d’Or but suffered a long-term injury that kept him out of action for Pep Guardiola’s side for many months.

Mac Allister has been impressive for Liverpool since he joined the club and helped them to win the Premier League title last season.

Vitinha, on the other hand, helped PSG win the UEFA Super Cup, UEFA Champions League, French Ligue 1 title, and French Cup last season.
