Garnacho Rejects Bayern Munich For Chelsea Move

Alejandro Garnacho has turned down Bayern Munich’s offer in favour of a move to Chelsea before the close of the summer transfer window.
The Manchester United forward has been told to leave the club but he is holding out for a move to Chelsea after being left out of the Red Devils squad for pre-season.
He was placed in Ruben Amorim’s five-man ‘bomb squad’ at the start of the summer alongside Marcus Rashford, Tyrell Malacia, Jadon Sancho, and Antony.
Rashford has since joined Barcelona on loan until the end of the season while Garnacho is still waiting for Chelsea to sanction his move.
He fell out with Amorim after the Europa League final, slamming the Portuguese coach’s decision not to start him in the clash against Tottenham.
Numerous clubs have made enquiries about him but he has turned down their advances in favour of a move to Stamford Bridge.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Garnacho rejected Bayern Munich’s offer in the last 48 hours, and talks between Chelsea and Manchester United are advancing for his signature.
He wrote on X: “Chelsea are advancing in club to club talks for Alejandro Garnacho! Deal underway with Man United. Excellent relationship between United CEO Berrada and Chelsea hierarchy.
“Garnacho only wants Chelsea, and turned down an approach from Bayern in the last 48 hours, no chance.”
According to reports, Manchester United are insisting on £50m, citing Noni Madueke’s £48m+£4m move to Arsenal as the valuation yardstick.
Chelsea are still trying for less knowing Manchester United want to sell.
Garnacho joined Manchester United’s youth system from Atlético Madrid in October 2020. He won the FA Youth Cup, and the Young Player of the Year award in May 2022.
He made his first-team debut for the club on 28 April, replacing Anthony Elanga in the 91st minute of a 1–1 draw against Chelsea in 2022.
Garnacho has played 144 games for Manchester United and scored 26 goals, while providing 22 assists. He has won the FA Cup, and the League Cup for the Red Devils.
