France Vacation: Set example for others, holiday in Nigeria – Aja tells Tinubu

A financial advisor and educator, Kalu Aja, has urged President Bola Tinubu to set an example by holidaying in Nigeria rather than traveling abroad.

“Why cant the President set an example and holiday in Nigeria?,” Aja asked on his X handle.

He was reacting to the statement by the Presidency announcing that Tinubu has departed Abuja to begin a 10-day working vacation in Europe as part of his 2025 annual leave.

According to a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President will spend his vacation between France and the United Kingdom.

He is expected to return to the country after the completion of the leave.

DAILY POST reports that some Nigerians had criticised Tinubu for what they call an “excessive foreign travel culture.”

Some claimed that the President has spent almost a quarter of his presidency outside the country.
