Zeine is the first foreign dignitary to touch down in Nigeria for the funeral.
His arrival shows the close ties between both nations and the personal relationship he shared with the late Nigerian leader.
Buhari, who died on Sunday in London at the age of 82, will be finally buried at his home, in Daura.
Funeral rites are expected to be held at the Emir of Daura’s palace before the final interment at his private residence.
