Filecoin, Magmar Team Up to Deliver Encrypted Decentralized File Storage
Magmar has partnered with Filecoin to introduce File Vault—a powerful new feature that enables users to securely store private files within its smart wallet using decentralised blockchain technology. This feature is integrated directly into Magmar’s Account Abstraction (AA) wallet and is designed to safeguard sensitive documents, backups, and metadata.
File Vault leverages Filecoin’s decentralised, censorship-resistant storage network, ensuring that user data remains encrypted, tamper-proof, and permanently accessible only to the originating wallet. This setup grants individuals full ownership and control over their data, eliminating reliance on centralised cloud services.
The Filecoin integration is facilitated through Lighthouse, providing seamless connectivity and verifiable on-chain access management. All files are encrypted, with access strictly limited to the wallet that uploaded them—making it a privacy-first solution ideal for users seeking secure data storage in the Web3 ecosystem.
According to the development teams, the focus is not on flashy demos or hype, but on building practical and resilient tools for everyday use. This marks a significant step forward in addressing a persistent Web3 challenge: how to securely store personal data in a decentralised environment.
With this launch, Magmar and Filecoin are reshaping crypto data storage by offering users a seamless, secure, and scalable solution integrated directly into their smart wallets.
