Ferdinand Slams Manchester United For Not Signing Osimhen

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has berated the club for not signing Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen despite struggling for goals.
The Red Devils struggled for goals last season, scoring 44 times in 38 Premier League matches, with the likes of Rasmus Højlund and Joshua Zirkzee failing to impress.
Osimhen, on the other hand, scored 37 goals for Galatasaray while leading them to a league and cup double in Turkey after joining the team on loan from Napoli.
The former Lille striker is on the verge of returning to Galatasaray permanently after the Turkish club submitted a €60m bid to Napoli.
Ferdinand believes Osimhen will add quality to Manchester United and wondered why the club is not interested in him.
He said, “I’m like a broken record. If anyone listens to my podcast, I’ve said Osimhen for a while now.
“He’s a centre-forward, he’s experienced, and he knows how to score goals at the top level. I’ve seen today that Galatasaray have put in a £50m bid.
“I mean, £50m to get a top-class striker, one of the top strikers in the world, is absolute peanuts in today’s market.
“I’ll be disappointed if he goes to Galatasaray for that type of money when Man United are crying out for a striker.

“I’ll be disappointed to miss out on Gyokeres if we don’t get a No. 9 in, but if we got Osimhen, then I wouldn’t be too concerned.”
Manchester United finished 15th in the Premier League last season, and the duo of Rasmus Højlund and Joshua Zirkzee scored seven goals between them in the competition.
The Red Devils are focused on getting a deal done for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo after their first two offers were rejected.
The Cameroon international is reportedly frustrated as a result of la ack of progress in the negotiation.
Matheus Cunha is the only attacking reinforcement the club has brought in this summer ahead of the 2025-26 season.
