Family Of Five Among Victims Of India Plane Crash
A family of five were among the over 290 people who lost their lives in a catastrophic plane crash in Ahmedabad, India on Thursday.
Dr. Pratik Joshi, his wife Dr. Kamini Joshi, and their three children; twin sons, Nakul and Pradyut and daughter, Miraya, were traveling to London when the tragedy occurred.
Pratik and Kamini were formerly associated with Udaipur Medical College, and their family was well-known in Banswara.
According to Indian Express, Pratik had relocated to London in 2016, while his wife reportedly resigned from the college to join him abroad.
Another victim, 24-year-old Khushboo Kanwar, only got married in January this year and was traveling to London for the first time to join her husband, Dr Vipul Singh Rajpurohit, who works there.
The plane crash which reportedly claimed over 200 lives, had a total of 11 passengers from Rajasthan, a state located in Northwestern part of India.
Other victims from the state include, Varardi Chandra Menaria and Prakash Chand Menaria from Udaipur, who worked as cooks in London; and Shagun Modi and Shubh Modi, children of a local marble businessman, who were students in London.
Also, Shiv Parihar, grandson of a former Member of Legislative Assembly, Kishna Ram Nai, was also among the victims.
