FAI Technik Receives Approval for Aircraft Maintenance in Nigeria
FAI Technik has secured approval from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services on Nigerian-registered business aviation aircraft worldwide.
The initiative allows the company to expand its operations and enhance support for aircraft owners and operators in Nigeria.
The recent approval covers a wide range of aircraft models supported by FAI Technik which includes:
Bombardier Aircraft: Challenger BD-100, CL-600 series, BD-700 series, and Learjet 60.
Hawker Aircraft: The full range of the HS125 series.
Beechcraft Aircraft: Premier 1/1A and King Air series.
Gulfstream Aircraft: Line maintenance checks up to 1C for models including G280, G450, G500, G550, G650, and G650ER.
FAI Technik has been active in Nigeria for over a year, primarily providing AOG (Aircraft on Ground) support in collaboration with local Part-145 maintenance organizations.
With the new approval, the company can now release Nigerian-registered aircraft under the FAI Technik brand.
Maintenance services will be offered at its facilities in Nuremberg (NUE) and Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER), as well as at local sites in Lagos and Abuja.
Larger maintenance projects are expected to be scheduled mainly in Nuremberg, ensuring that aircraft undergo comprehensive checks and repairs in a state-of-the-art facility.

The approval from the Nigerian CAA marks a significant step for FAI Technik in establishing a robust foothold in the Nigerian aviation sector.
As the demand for aircraft maintenance services increases in Nigeria and Africa, FAI Technik says it is well-positioned to meet the needs of local operators and enhance the overall safety and efficiency of business aviation in Nigeria and beyond.
In a related development, Nigeria and Brazil are set to initiate direct flights between both nations under the Bilateral Air Service Agreement (BASA) aimed at enhancing air connectivity and fostering stronger economic ties.
This follows high-level discussions between Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo SAN, and the Brazilian Ambassador to Nigeria, Carlos Garcete, as per the directive of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The discussions mark a strategic push to activate the BASA, which was formalized in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two countries in 2018.
