Fabio Capello explains why Atalanta should not sell Ademola Lookman
Former AC Milan and England national team coach Fabio Capello has explained why Italian Serie A side Atalanta should not sell Super Eagles winger, Ademola Lookman.
Capello who spoke with the Italian media said that if Teun Koopmeiners and Ademola Lookman leave Atalanta after injuries sustained by Scamacca and Scalvini it would be tough for the team.
The Italian tactician however cautioned that La Dea must hold onto the Nigerian and other vital players if they hope to challenge for more silverware this season.
“If Koopmeiners and Lookman leave after injuries to Scamacca and Scalvini, it would be tough for Gasperini,” Capello was quoted by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

In 45 games for Atalanta in the 2023–24, season, Lookman scored 17 goals and added 10 assists, including a thrilling hat-trick against Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League final.
In 2015, Lookman played as a forward for Championship team Charlton Athletic in his senior year. In January 2017, he joined Everton, where he primarily served as a winger.
After playing at the under-19 and under-21 levels for England Lookman earned his senior debut for the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the year 2022.
