Tottenham Hotspur manager, Thomas Frank has explained why his team defeated Manchester City 2-0 in the Premier League on Saturday.

Frank watched as Spurs defeated Pep Guardiola’s side at the Etihad Stadium, thanks to goals from Brennan Johnson and João Palhinha.

The result leaves Tottenham on top of the Premier League table with six points from two games.

Speaking at his post-match interview after the game, Frank said that his team did very well against City in the second half after scoring against the hosts.

He added that Tottenham put in an extraordinary performance against the Cityzens.

“The first 45 minutes were fairly even, with City a bit on top of us. We scored a great goal. Second half I think we were very good,” Frank said.

“I’m proud of my players, the performance. I think it was extraordinary. We know it’s always difficult to play at the Etihad.”
