EPL: Why Arsenal beat Man Utd 1-0 – Gary Neville

Former Manchester United defender, Gary Neville, was full of praise for Arsenal’s resilience after they defeated the Red Devils 1-0 on Sunday.

Riccardo Calafiori’s goal in the 13th minute proved to be the winner.

Although United tried to fight back, the Gunners’ defence held firm to keep their first clean sheet of the season.

David Raya made several excellent saves to shut out the hosts and was named Man of the Match.

Neville, speaking on Sky Sports, said: “Arsenal really dug in. They showed a lot of resilience.

“We know how good they are defensively. The goalkeeper made some really good saves and the back four got better as the game went on.

“Arsenal were never at their best but to come to Manchester, whether it is Old Trafford or Manchester City’s ground, it’s always tough.”
