EPL: Nottingham Forest boss backs Awoniyi to hit top form again

Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo has backed Taiwo Awoniyi to hit top form again at the club.

Awoniyi is yet to score for Nottingham Forest this season.

The Nigeria international has only started two games for the Tricky Trees in the Premier League this season.

The 27-year-old is behind Chris Wood in the pecking order.

Santo however insisted that the striker will soon be at his best again.

“It’s his fitness, his confidence and he is looking for his goal,” the gaffer was quoted by Nottingham Post.

“Everything changes in the mindset of a striker when you score; suddenly everything comes. We are waiting for this click. We trust him.”
