EPL: Mikel Obi reveals Arsenal’s record Guardiola would love to break

Former Chelsea midfielder, John Mikel Obi, has said that Pep Guardiola would love to break Arsenal’s Invincibles record.

Guardiola has achieved a lot of success since he arrived at Manchester City in 2016.

The Spaniard has won the Premier League seven times, including the last four seasons.

City have also won the Treble in the 2022/2023 season, winning the FA Cup and Champions League.

However, Guardiola has never managed to go an entire season unbeaten like the Gunners did in the 2023/2024 campaign.

Mikel Obi, speaking on his podcast, said: “Robert Pires was part of the Invincibles team. And I don’t know if that record will ever be broken in the Premier League.

“I think that is one record that Pep Guardiola will really, really love to break.”
