EPL: Maresca names three ‘very important’ Chelsea players

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has named three ‘very important’ players in his squad.

Maresca spoke while giving an update on the trio ahead of Chelsea’s pre-season friendly tie with Inter Milan on Sunday.

The players are Cole Palmer, Nicolas Jackson and Marc Cucurella.

“We will see when they play – not sure for Inter, hopefully for the City game,” said Maresca as quoted by Chelsea’s website.

“They are all important players. In terms of numbers, Cole and Nico scored almost 40 goals so they are both very important, and Marc, too.

“The important thing is they start training with us, and soon we can use them.”

Chelsea finished outside of the Premier League top four last season and will hope they do better under Maresca this season.
