EPL: Liverpool agree deal to sell Darwin Nunez as Newcastle ban Isak from training
Liverpool have agreed a deal to sell Darwin Nunez to Al Hilal.
The Uruguayan striker is now in talks to sort out personal terms with the Saudi Pro League champions.
Nunez joined the Reds for an initial 75 million euros from Benfica three years ago, while Jurgen Klopp was still manager.
But he has failed to live up to expectations, despite scoring 40 goals in 143 appearances.
Last season, Nunez fell down the pecking order under Arne Slot.
Al Hilal will now pay an initial 53 million euros for the 26-year-old.
His exit could allow Liverpool make a fresh bid for Newcastle’s Alexander Isak.
Isak, was on Wednesday banned from training by the Magpies and is now training alone ahead of a possible exit this summer.
