Emile Smith Rowe has hailed his former Arsenal teammate, Alex Iwobi after the Nigerian provided him with the assist in their 1-1 draw with Manchester United.

Rowe made an instant impact off the bench during the game.

Rowe came on and scored within one minute and thirty-three seconds and a single touch.

It was Fulham’s equalizer, with the assist coming from Iwobi.

Rowe joined Fulham from Arsenal a year after Iwobi joined Fulham from Everton in 2023.

Both players were together at the Arsenal Hale End Academy.

“I know his trademark cross. I knew where he was going to play and I just had to make sure I was there at the right time,” Smith Rowe told Premier League Productions.

Iwobi, whose assist proved decisive, highlighted the understanding between the pair and the Nigerian said he understands the England player makes his run very well.

Iwobi and Rowe have played together at Fulham for 39 matches, combining for four goal contributions.
