EPL: Guardiola to miss three key Man City players against Man Utd
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola will be without three key players when his team face Manchester United in Sunday’s Premier League derby.
Speaking at his pre-match interview on Friday, Guardiola confirmed that Omar Marmoush, Ryan Ait Nouri, and Rayan Cherki will not feature against the Red Devils.
The Spaniard also expressed doubt over the availability of defender John Stones against Rúben Amorim’s side at the Etihad Stadium.
Speaking to the media, Guardiola said (via Manchester Evening News): “Omar [Marmoush] came from Egypt injured. Rayan Ait Nouri and Rayan Cherki are out.
“John Stones is a doubt but not a ‘big issue’. The rest are okay, we have to wait for tests (on Marmoush) but a few weeks I think. Before the international break he will be ready.
“We came back yesterday, the players are good. I know how important it is for our fans and it is a really important game. I trust the players a lot.”
Kick-off for Man City vs Man United is 4:30 pm, Nigerian time.
