Edo Queens Sign Ghanaian Goalkeeper

Nigeria Women’s Football League side Edo Queens have announced the signing of Adjei Charlotte ahead of the 2025-26 season.
Charlotte played for Remo Stars Ladies last season, keeping 10 clean sheets in 19 league appearances before leaving the club at the end of the season.
Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Amadin Desmond Enabulele, is confident that Charlotte will add quality to Edo Queens.
He said: “We are pleased to welcome Adjei Charlotte to Edo Queens. Her experience and talent will undoubtedly add value to our team as we aim for greater success in the league and on the continental stage.
“Edo Queens FC remains committed to building a competitive squad , and will continue to invest in top talents to elevate the club’s standing in Nigerian women’s football.”
Charlotte was named NWFL’s goalkeeper of the year in the 2024/25 following her impressive performances for Remo Stars Ladies, leading them to fifth on the log.
She became the second foreigner to win the award after Cameroonian goalkeeper Bawou Ange Gabrielle won the award in 2022 while playing for league champions Bayelsa Queens.
Edo Queens will be hoping to reclaim the NWFL title they lost to Bayelsa Queens last season.
