Edo Governor Suspends Primary Healthcare Agency Boss

The Edo State Government has announced the suspension of Dr Caulson Osoikhia Oahimire, Executive Secretary of the Edo State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, over allegations of financial and official infractions.
According to the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa, the suspension was ordered by the governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo.
The SSG, in a press release, noted that the most senior staff member of the agency will assume acting responsibilities pending the outcome of a special committee to be set up by the government to investigate the allegations.
The committee, according to the statement, will submit its report to the governor.
It noted that the suspension aimed to ensure a thorough probe into the alleged infractions and maintain transparency in the agency’s operations.
The statement reads, “It is hereby announced for the information of the general public that the executive governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo has ordered the immediate suspension of the executive secretary, Edo State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr Caulson Osoikhia Oahimire, over allegations of grave financial and official infractions.
“Consequently, the most senior staff of the agency will act in a functioning capacity pending the outcome of a special committee to be constituted by the government to investigate the various allegations and submit a report to the governor.”
