Davido Honours Late Son At Miami Wedding

Nigeria Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, honoured his late son, Ifeanyi, on his wedding day by wearing custom-made cufflinks engraved with the boy’s image.
Three-year-old Ifeanyi died in October 2022 after allegedly drowning in a swimming pool at the singer’s Banana Island residence in Lagos.

On Sunday, Davido exchanged vows with his long-time partner Chioma Rowland in Miami, Florida, with an image of his first son etched into a piece of jewellery which he wore.
The white wedding, held nearly a year after the couple’s traditional celebration in Lagos, was a star-studded event.
The guest list at the Miami event had in attendance business magnates, politicians, and music industry colleagues such as Adekunle Gold, Teni, and Zlatan Ibile, amongst others.
A pre-wedding dinner set the tone for a weekend of celebration that, according to Davido, came with a staggering $3.7m price tag.
“We spent $3.7m in cash. You should know what we are doing. It’s crazy,” Davido said, as he spoke about the scale of the ceremony.
In a separate interview with Noire TV, Chioma, now Mrs. Adeleke, while reflecting on her husband’s role, said he is not only a partner but a supporter of her ambitions.
“David cares a lot about my dreams. I’ve faced a lot of challenges over time, but he would always ask me, ‘Chi, apart from all of this, what do you actually want to do?’ Then we would have plans and have stuff coming out in the next few months. He really cares about my personal dreams,” she said.
The couple’s love story began during their university days. Apart from Ifeanyi, they share a set of twins born in October 2023.
