Cow severely injures staff inside Delta Govt House
There was confusion at the Government House, Asaba, over the weekend, when a cow attacked a staff member.
The cow, meant for slaughtering, also injured some people.
One of the victims, a man in his 30s, who attempted to subdue the animal, was severely injured after being knocked down and was immediately rushed to the emergency unit of the Government House clinic.
“He sustained deep wounds on his thighs and was initially taken to the Government House Clinic for emergency care.
“Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later transferred to an undisclosed hospital where he is currently battling for his life.
“Another victim, identified simply as Peter, a cook at the Government House, also sustained injuries.
“The first two butchers called to slaughter the cow were unable to handle it and fled the scene. The critically injured victim was reportedly the second person called to take over the task,” a source disclosed
As of the time of filing this report, there was no official statement from the Government House.
