Club World Cup: What I told Estevão after quarter final clash – Palmer

Chelsea star, Cole Palmer has revealed what he told Brazilian star Willian Estevão following the Blues’ FIFA Club World Cup quarter-final win against Palmeiras on Saturday.

Recall that Estevão scored Palmeiras’ only goal as Chelsea defeated the Brazilian side 2-1 to qualify for the semi-final.

Estevão will join Chelsea after the FIFA Club World Cup this summer.

Chelsea had signed the 18-year-old winger last year from Palmeiras.

However, he remained with Palmeiras after signing for Enzo Maresca’s side.

Speaking after Chelsea defeated Palmeiras, Palmer said he told Estevão that the Premier League west London club are excited for him to join.

“Estêvão is a top player, we all can see that,” Palmer said after the game.

“I told him that we are excited for him to join, but he did not understand a single word I said.”
