Real Madrid defender, Trent Alexander-Arnold, has predicted a “difficult game” when his team face Paris Saint-Germain in the FIFA Club World Cup semi-final tie on Wednesday.
The England international also admitted that he had faced PSG in the UEFA Champions League last season during his time at Liverpool, describing the Parisians as an outstanding team.
The right-back featured as Xabi Alonso’s side defeated Dortmund in the Club World Cup quarter-final on Saturday to qualify for the last four.
Speaking after the game, the defender said at his post-match interview: “I played PSG this season and they were outstanding. Of course, it is going to be a difficult game.
“We are both in the final four and we both deserve to be here.
“In knockout football, anyone can beat anyone. We will work hard to recover and prepare for a difficult game.
“Let’s see who comes out on top and who are the best team.”
Meanwhile, PSG defeated Bayern Munich 2-0 in the other quarter-final tie on Saturday.
