Club World Cup: Three PSG, Real Madrid players banned for semi-final
At least three players from Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid will be unavailable for Wednesday night’s semi-final clash at the 2025 Club World Cup.
They are Dean Huijsen, Willian Pacho and Lucas Hernandez.
PSG will be without Pacho and Hernandez after they picked up straight red cards in their semi-final victory over Bayern Munich.
FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee on Tuesday, confirmed that both players have been baned for two matches.
This means Pacho and Hernandez will play no part anymore in the competition.
The Committee has however decided to hand just a one-match ban to Huijsen, who was also sent off following his challenge on Serhou Guirassy in stoppage time during Madrid’s 3-2 win over Borussia Dortmund.
Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain will face Chelsea in the final of the tournament.
