Club World Cup: Chelsea earn £80m after reaching final
Chelsea have earned around £80million for their run to the final of the Club World Cup.
The Blues defeated Fluminense 2-0 in their semi-final clash on Wednesday night.
Joao Pedro, who only arrived last week from Brighton for a fee around £60m, scored both goals for the Premier League side.
They will now face either Paris Saint-Germain or Real Madrid in Sunday’s final.
Chelsea are looking to lift their second major silverware of this campaign, after they won the UEFA Conference League.
Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, wrote on X: “Chelsea have now earned fee close to £80m thanks to their FIFA Club World Cup performances, qualifying for the final.
“Excellent job by Enzo Maresca with UCL return, Conference League trophy and also perfect Club World Cup so far.”
