Christians Told To Tame Devil, Pray For Peace In Nigeria
The Founder and President of the Remnant Christian Network, Apostle Arome Israel Osayi, has called on Christians in Nigeria to rekindle their spiritual commitment and engage in fervent prayer to confront the growing influence of evil in the country.
Speaking during a three-day prayer revival in Sokoto State, which drew thousands of residents from across the state, Apostle Osayi emphasised the urgent need for a nationwide spiritual revival to “tame the power of Satan and his kingdom of darkness”.
“Christians in Nigeria must not take the back seat,” Osayi declared. “Every religion is undergoing one form of revival because of the evil principalities that are fighting the Christian fold. It is our time to rise.”
Addressing the large congregation at the open-air event, the apostle stressed that spiritual complacency has allowed the forces of darkness to gain ground, urging believers to remain focused on God and diligent in prayer.
“We must remain steadfast in service to God and fervent in prayer,” he said. “Evil principalities are unrelenting in causing havoc. But through consistent prayer and spiritual awakening, we can checkmate their influence.”
Osayi also sounded a warning to Christians who seek help from ungodly sources, saying such practices only lead to temporary relief and long-term spiritual damage.
“Christians must stop seeking help from the devil and its agents,” he cautioned. “Any help sourced from evil temples is temporary and comes at a cost. It distances the soul from God.”
In a message that resonated with both the religious and civic duty of believers, the apostle stressed the importance of interceding for the nation.
“It is our responsibility to pray for the peace of Sokoto State and Nigeria,” Osayi said.
“Let peace and harmony reign among the dwellers. We must lift our voices in prayer until Nigeria is healed.”
He further charged Christian leaders across the country to rise to their role as spiritual shepherds, guiding their followers to uphold righteousness and stand firm against societal decay.
“Like every religion, it is the responsibility of Christian leaders in Nigeria to lead their followers to the path of the Lord,” he noted.
“The dominant evildoers in places of worship must be checkmated at the right time.”
The revival, which featured sessions of worship, teaching, and intercessory prayers, was marked by a strong appeal for national healing, spiritual responsibility, and unity among Christian communities in the face of increasing socio-political challenges.
